Workshop on Android by Training Basket

Event Date: 11th March, 2019

Event Coordinator: Er. Aman Agrawal, Er. Gopalji Varshneya

Event Objective: To provide basic concept & practical exposure of Android Application coupled with a mini project.

The workshop started with the speech by Dr Rama Kant, Head, CSE. He welcomed Mr. Shadab Khan, Business Development Manager, Training Basket and his team. Dr. Rama Kant briefly introduced the need of technical skills updation in current scenario. Md. Jafar Alam introduced the concepts of Android from basics in first session of talk.

The second session was started with the advanced concepts of Android Application development. Hand-on practice was also carried out by the students under the guidance of Md. Jafar Alam. The workshop was concluded with vote of thanks speech by Er. Aman Agrawal. Entire workshop was well supported by all the faculty & staff members of CSE department.

Students also developed the real time android application. About 45+ students and faculty members from CSE department participated in the workshop. The event was successfully coordinated by Er. Aman Agrawal and Er. Gopalji Varshneya, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE.

Event Outcome: Students have learned the concepts Web Application development in Android. Both students and faculty members enjoyed the sessions in one day workshop and training.

 



Industrial Visit to GINNI FILAMENTS LTD.

Students of B.Tech, II & III year, Mechanical Engineering have visited GINNI FILAMENTS LTD., Chhata, Mathura on 26 FEB, 2019. Students were accompanied by Mr. Satendra Kumar, and Mr. Raunak Katiyar. These students have interacted with Industry Experts and discussed about integrated operations with presence across cotton spinning, knitting, processing, and garmenting. The company expanded into knitted fabrics and installed knitting machines from M/s. Terrot and Cie & Mayer to produce Single Jersey, Interlock, Rib Terry and Lycra fabrics.

The students participated enthusiastically in order to obtain the basic knowledge about the preparation of thread of different gauge from bulk cotton package (cart board) under the blown air through the duct passage and they applied the technical skills to understand such a big automation in the processes. Beyond this, they were also aware about the fire free handling and other security procedure in order to avoid man as well as machine loss.

This type of industrial visit enhances the knowledge of the students.

 



Workshop on Python Programming by Inception Infotech

Event Objective: To provide basic concept & practical exposure of Python language coupled with a mini project.

The workshop started with the speech by Dr Rama Kant, Head, CSE. He welcomed Mr. Rajeev Kumar, Director, Inception Infotech. In the first session, Dr. Rama Kant spoke about the need of technical skills in current scenario and then introduced the concepts of Python language.

The second session started with the advanced concepts of Python programming.Students also implemented the real time face detection using Python. Dr. Rama Kant discussed use of Python in machine learning and deep learning. Hand-on practice was also carried out.

The workshop concluded with vote of thanks speech by Er. Praveen Kumar Rai. About 120+ students and faculty members from CSE and ECE departments participated in the workshop. The event was coordinated by Er. Praveen Kumar Rai and Er. Gopalji Varshneya, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE.

Event Outcome: Students have learned the concepts of Python programming with object oriented concepts. Both students and faculty members enjoyed the sessions in one day workshop and training.

 



TechnoSpectrum-2K18

Event Date: 16th November, 2018 - 17th November, 2018

Event Coordinator: Dr. Rama Kant, Er. Nitin Kumar Sahu

Event Objective: To change the environment of the college due to the heavy rush of curriculum and developing extra co-curricular skills inside the students to enhance their academics with respect to some other activities and to increase the technical and communicational skills among the students.

On the two-day Fest, the members of organizing committee of all departments organized their team wise events comprising of a total of 8 events in which about 200+ students and faculty members from all the departments participated in the event.

It was first of its kind Intra-college techno fest being organized by all the departments together. Students enjoyed a lot and were thankful to the college for the Fest. Entire Fest was well supported by the student coordinators of the all the departments.

TechnoSpectrum-2K18 was inaugurated by Prof.(Dr.) L. K Tyagi, Director, GL Bajaj Group of Institutions, Mathura. He spoke about the importance of such type of fest. He also addressed that how culture, climate and tradition play an important role in the shaping of an individual and an organization. Further, he said that the culture and traditions are developed by the stake holders of an organization. He provided us with the motivation for carrying out such type of events in future.

The Fest was successfully coordinated by Dr. Rama Kant & Er. Nitin Kr. Sahu.

 



Industrial Visit to JINDAL SAW LIMITED

Students of B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering), II & III year, have visited JINDAL SAW LIMITED, Kosi Kalan, Mathura on 31 AUG, 2018, accompanied by Mr. Shashi Kant Singh and Mr. Satendra Kumar, Assistant Professors in the department.

These students have interacted with JINDAL Experts and discussed about the new era of the technologies in the field of Pipes. Jindal Saw Ltd., (JSL) provides Total Pipe Solutions and is the leading manufacturer of Seamless Tubes and Pipes, Large Diameter submerged Arc Welded pipes, and Ductile Iron Pipes. JSL provides cutting of sheets for designing the pipes and testing of these pipes are also done in the plant. Jindal Saw Ltd., (JSL) encourage creative experimentation, embrace new ideas and institutionalize continuous improvement in all aspects of business and performance. JSAW offer an empowering work environment, a vibrant and winning approach, a system and processes orientation, performance focus, knowledge and capability drive.

This type of industrial visit enhances the knowledge and employability of the students by enriching their industry knowledge and to have the best industry interfacing.

 



Industrial Visit to BRINDAVAN AGRO INDUSTRIES

Students of B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering), II & III year, have visited BRINDAVAN AGRO INDUSTRIES, Chhata, Mathura on 24 AUG, 2018, accompanied by Mr. Shashi Kant Singh and Mr. Satendra Kumar, Assistant Professors in the department.

These students have interacted with Industry Experts and discussed about the new era of the technologies used in the field of Soft drinks. The plant has two bottling lines - a sparkling PET line and a sparkling glass bottle line. Both the lines have the capacity to produce 600 bottles each per minute. Its Product Portfolio has an extensive range to choose from Sparkling Beverages, Still Beverages and Water. The industry used many equipments and machines like Water Filtration Equipment, Soft Drink Filling Machine, Carbonated Beverage Filling Machines, and Conveyor System.

This type of industrial visit enhances the knowledge of the students.

 



Induction Program

As per AICTE Mandate and AKTU academic calendar an Induction Program was organized from 1st Aug, 2018 to 21st Aug, 2018, with the aim to train incoming undergraduate students well in the branch/department to have a holistic outlook, and to have a desire to work for national needs and beyond. The graduating student must have knowledge and skills in the area of his study. However, he must also have broad understanding of society and relationships. Character needs to be nurtured as an essential quality by which he would understand and fulfill his responsibility as an engineer, a citizen and a human being. Besides the above, several meta-skills and underlying values are also needed.

The program was also conducted to making feel comfortable to newly joined students, explore their academic interests and activities, reduce competition and make them work for excellence, promote bonding within them, build relations between teachers and students, give a broader view of life, and build character. The purpose of this program was to help them adjust to the new environment and inculcate the ethos of the institution with sense of larger purpose in them.

 



Independence Day

Independence Day is an annual observance celebrated every year on 15th of August. India’s Independence Day is a day of great significance for the people of India. At this day India got freedom from the British rule after long years of slavery. It has been declared as the National and Gazetted Holiday all across the India in order to independently commemorate the independence of country from British Empire on 15th of August in 1947.

Independence Day of India was celebrated by the GL Bajaj fraternity with big enthusiasm on 15th August 2018, Wednesday. This year, we have celebrated our 72nd Independence Day to pay tribute and remember all the freedom fighters who had contributed a lot and fought for the Independence of India.

 



Workshop on Robotics

Event Objective: To spread awareness about the ARDUINO programming which is used in Real Time Applications such as Robotics, Embedded Systems etc.

In Workshop, Er. Nitin Kumar Sahu, Assistant Professor and Head, EC department welcomed Mr. Dheeraj Chauhan from ND Mechatronical LLP, Agra. Er. Shashi Kant Singh also briefly introduced the ARDUINO, a microcontroller board. About 56 students of CSE (2017-21 and 2016-20 batches) have participated in a one day workshop. All sessions were free of cost.

Entire workshop was well supported by all the faculty & staff members of ECE department. The event was successfully coordinated by Er. Nitin Kumar Sahu and Er. Shashi Kant Singh (Department of Mechanical Engineering).

Event Outcome: Students are well acquainted with ARDUINO programming concepts and practice. Both students and faculty members enjoyed the sessions in a one day workshop.

 



TechnoFest-2K18

TechnoWave, The Technical Society of Department of Computer Science & Engineering organized a technical fest titled TECHNOFEST-2K18 where students of all years, departments, and branches participated with great enthusiasm and zealousness.

Fest began with a floral welcome of Hon’ble Director Dr. L.K. Tyagi and other faculty members by the students of the department. Lamp Lighting Ceremony was done by the Director, Head of various Departments and other faculty members. Then Director Dr. L.K. Tyagi in his speech wished good luck to the department, society and students for their future and appreciated the efforts done by the department and society members. He also expressed his hope that department will continue holding top positions and proving its worth.

Students of batch 2017-21 presented very devotional Saraswati Vandana, in a very soulful voice on this occasion. Students of all departments, all branches and all years participated in the events of the fest which were judged by different faculty members from different departments.

The Fest had three (03) events: SYS - Share Your Startup, CODO-Quiz and Kill Switch Arena. The certificates were awarded to the winners and runner ups by HoD and different faculty members.

Coding with VDU’s turned off was an exciting experience for all juniors as well as seniors and checking the technical knowledge in the round 2 by the technical quiz. Also there was a try to increase the entrepreneurship skills among the students by providing the stage to them to share their startup idea in both managerial as well as technical aspects. Some exciting moments like LAN Gaming War {Kill Switch Arena} between final year and second year students with an add-on of rocking popping music in the background were loved and enjoyed by all.

Token of love and appreciation was given to the students of final year with a wonderful invite as Chief Guest by their juniors.

At the end Mr. Ankur Saxena, Head, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, delivered a vote of thanks, and expressed his best wishes for the society and to the students for the future ahead and also conveys a message by saying THE SHOW MUST GO ON means no matter who ever sits on the respective positions and what the circumstances be, the department must ensure to continue and deliver its good performance always. Seeing the enthusiasm and zeal of the participants, coordinators and the love and involvement in all the events shown by the participating students from all the department, the society is planning to arrange a more broad and beautiful event in the future.

Faculty will get trained on basics of formal methods and formal languages in various domains. The FDP will increase the horizon of faculty in the area of formal methods and inspire to identify research problems and pursue their research work.

Chief Guest: DR. Uma Shankar Pandey, Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Campus of Open Learning, University of Delhi, Delhi.

Guest of Honour: DR. Anil Kumar Singhal, Former Senior Scientist & Director, Rajbhasha and Organization & Methods, DRDO, Delhi.

Program Outcome: After completion of FDP, participants:

  • Understand concepts and range of problems that can be handled using Formal Methods and Formal Languages,
  • Realize the research avenues in the field of Formal Methods and Formal Languages, and

Workshop on Python by Softpro India Computer Technologies (P) Limited, Lucknow in association with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow

Event Objective: To provide basic concept & practical exposure of Python language coupled with a mini project.

First day of workshop, was opened with a start speech by Mrs. Deepti Rathore. Er. Ankur Saxena, Associate Professor and Head, CSE and ECE department welcomed Ms. Yashi Asthana, CEO, Mr. Sanjiv Agarwal, Program Coordinator, CSE department welcomed Mr. Brijesh Mishra, IT Manager and Ms. Vinita Mathur, Program Coordinator, ECE department welcomed Mr. Rohit Kumar, Project Manager from Softpro India Computer Technologies (P) Limited, Lucknow.

Er. Ankur Saxena briefly introduced the need and application of Python language in current scenario. Next, talk was given by Ms. Yashi Asthana and she had given a presentation regarding the profile of Softpro company and expertise of company in software technologies. Mr. Brijesh Mishra introduced the concepts of Python language, microcontroller (Raspberry PI) programming and lab practices. About 125+ students and faculty members from CSE and ECE departments participated on first day sessions.

The second day of workshop was started with the concepts of web developments and database connectivity using Python. The technical training as well as basic concepts about Python was discussed in sessions from morning to evening. Hand-on practice was also carried out by the students under the guidance of Mr. Brijesh Mishra and Mr. Rohit Kumar. The workshop was concluded with vote of thanks speech by Er. Rama Kant. Entire workshop was well supported by all the faculty & staff members of CSE & ECE departments and student coordinators Mr. Swetank Sinha, Mr. Mohd. Shadab & Mr. Manish Yadav of CSE-3rd Yr.

The event was successfully coordinated by Er. Praveen Kumar Rai and Er. Rama Kant, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE.

Training cum workshop program on Cyber Security by Innovative Ideas InfoTech in Association with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.

Event Date: 21st August - 22nd August, 2017

Event Objective: To spread awareness about the cyber problems such as phishing, account hacking, fake facebook profiles, fake mailing, threat mails, ATM card cloning and various other latest cyber-crimes.

On first day of program, Er. Ankur Saxena, Associate Professor and Head, CSE and ECE department welcomed Mr. Rahul Mishra from Innovative Ideas InfoTech. Er. Ankur Saxena also briefly introduced the cyber security and its need in the life of engineering students as well as other persons using social media and other platforms. About 300+ students and faculty members from all the departments participated on first day sessions. All sessions were free of cost for first day.

Total 82 students were registered for 2nd day paid sessions @Rs. 700 which is a fees decided by the NGO- Innovative Ideas InfoTech. The technical training as well as basic concepts about cyber security was discussed in sessions from morning to evening. Hand-on practice was also carried out by the students. Entire workshop was well supported by all the faculty & staff members of CSE & ECE departments and student coordinators Mr. Swetank Sinha & Mr. Mohd. Shadab of CSE-3rd Yr.

The event was successfully coordinated by Er. Sanjiv Agarwal and Er. Rama Kant, department of CSE.
