Code for a Cause

A chance to showcase your talent in logic building and executing. This is a coding competition and we will conduct it on an offline platform. Code for a Cause suggests that there will be a story in which you have to crack the problem and solve it with the help of your coding skills. We will provide four coding languages (C, C++, Python and Java). There will be a cut off which a participant has to gain to qualify for the next round. Contest will consist of two rounds and every round will be an eliminating round. To make it interesting, we will be giving one bonus question in each round by which the participant can gain some advantage point while entering the next round.

General Instructions
  • All the Participants should carry their college ID Card/Govt. ID proof.
  • Registration must be done before the commencement of the event.
  • Participant must bring their passport size photograph.
  • Any suspicious doing can lead direct disqualification.
Specific Rules
  • There will be cutoff points which a participant has to gain to qualify for next round
  • There will be a bonus question in every round which will lead you to advantage points current round
  • If it is a tie among points, then submission time will a vital role
Event Rules
  • Participation is on individual basis
  • Tab switching will not be allowed
  • Participants will have to wait for instruction given by the coordinators
  • If it is a tie then faculty coordinator will decide the proceedings and results
ROUND I
  • 4 coding questions will be there
  • Time limit will be of 60 minutes
  • Step marking or approach marking will not be considered in this round
ROUND II
  • 2-3 coding questions will be there
  • Time limit will be of 30-45 minutes
  • Step marking or approach marking will be considered in this round
