Singing

Description of The Event

In this event, Participants will show their talent in the form of Singing. There is no Specific theme for any performance and No restrictions for choosing track. There will be 2 rounds in both category Music. This event is aimed to enhance our skills.

Rules

General Instructions

All the Participants should carry their college ID Card/Govt. ID proof.
Registration must be done before the commencement of the event.
Participant must bring their passport size photograph.
Any suspicious doing can lead direct disqualification.

Solo Singing

Time allotted for each performance is 3-4 minutes
The Participants will be judged on the song selection, voice quality, clarity, rhythm and their appeal to the audience
The participants should bring their own musical instruments if required in the performance
Choice of song is open to the participants but the song should not have any slangs or derogatory language

Group Singing

The group shall comprise of a minimum of two singers and a maximum of eight singers
Karaoke will be allowed
Performance of any group must not exceed more than five minutes

Judging Criteria

ROUND 1

Entries will be on a first come, first serve basis and will be limited to the amount of performance time available
Song will be on only one category (like classical, folk, pop music, etc.)
Participants will be evaluated on technique, musicianship, sur-tal and overall presentation
If participant exceed the given time limit then marks will be deducted or disqualified based on judge’s decision

ROUND 2

No. of entries after elimination from 1st round will be 40% to 60% (depending upon no. of entries)
Time limit will extend for this round by 1min for each performance (Solo/Duet/Group)
If there will be condition arise of Tie then a Battle round will happen on random song played by judges for final judgment
Competitors will be evaluated on technique, musicianship, sur-tal and overall presentation
